Prediction market odds often reflect a more nuanced view of probabilities, incorporating trader insights and real-time data. In contrast, sportsbook odds are set by professional oddsmakers and may include adjustments for betting volume and market balance. For this market, comparing the two can reveal shifts in perceived likelihood and potential value opportunities.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders actively set the odds through buying and selling shares, which determines the current implied probability. The price reflects the collective assessment of participants and can shift rapidly with new information or betting patterns.
