Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, prediction market odds may lead or lag sportsbook lines depending on which venue attracts sharper action first. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money is positioning and whether public perception differs from professional oddsmaking on the match outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), and traders buy or sell shares to express their conviction. The more capital flowing into one side, the higher its price climbs. This continuous mechanism ensures transparent, friction-free pricing and allows you to enter or exit your position at any time before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the ITF Granby match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result—no ambiguity about who won. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout automatically. Until that point, prices may shift as new information emerges or as the event draws closer.
Several factors could shift prices before the match. Recent player form, injury reports, head-to-head history, and court conditions at the Granby venue all influence trader expectations. News about either player's fitness, ranking changes, or recent tournament results may trigger repricing. Weather forecasts closer to the event date, draw announcements, and betting action from professional syndicates can also drive volatility. Monitoring these catalysts helps you anticipate market moves and time your trades strategically.
