Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders who profit or lose based on accuracy. For this market, comparing the implied probability here to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether one venue perceives a higher or lower chance of a particular outcome. Traders often use such gaps to identify value, though both sources ultimately reflect real-money conviction about the match result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), and buying or selling shares moves the price according to the platform's pricing algorithm. The spread between bid and ask reflects current liquidity and uncertainty; tighter spreads indicate more confident or heavily traded outcomes, while wider spreads suggest lower volume or higher disagreement among participants.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the ITF Granby match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official match result—which player wins the contest. No further conditions apply; the market simply confirms the winner against authoritative tennis records and closes accordingly. Traders should monitor the event schedule to ensure they understand the exact timing and any potential delays or rescheduling.
Several factors can shift odds before the match concludes. Recent player form, injury updates, head-to-head records, and court conditions at the Granby venue all influence trader sentiment. News about either competitor's fitness, ranking movements, or performance in warm-up events may trigger price swings. Additionally, real-time match developments—such as early set results or momentum shifts during play—typically drive the most dramatic moves as traders update their forecasts based on live information. Monitor sports news and official ITF announcements for catalysts.
