Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market's odds may move faster or slower than traditional sportsbooks depending on trader activity and new information. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus is shifting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time probability estimates. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade continuously, and the price of each share reflects the collective odds assigned by active traders. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, the price adjusts dynamically. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price accuracy.

Player form, recent tournament results, head-to-head history, and injury reports are key catalysts that can shift odds in this market.
