Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders risking real capital. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional betting sites, particularly if one venue has sharper information flow or different liquidity. Comparing the two can reveal where market participants see value relative to professional oddsmakers.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the aggregate willingness of participants to risk capital on that result, with shares trading between 0 and 100 cents based on perceived probability. Higher prices indicate stronger market confidence in that outcome, while lower prices suggest skepticism. Real-time trading volume and order flow directly influence how quickly prices adjust to new information.
This market resolves around Jun 21, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result of the tennis match between the two players. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the final point is played and confirmed by the tournament organizers or recognized sports data providers.
Market prices may shift based on player injury reports, recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, court surface conditions, and weather forecasts closer to the event date. Announcements about player fitness, coaching changes, or withdrawal news can trigger sharp repricing. Media coverage and expert analysis may also influence trader sentiment. As the match date approaches, any updates on player form or external circumstances will likely drive volatility in this market.
