Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than bookmaker margins and risk management. Sportsbooks build in vigorish and adjust lines to balance action, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs directly. For the Haita versus Coman match, comparing Polymarket implied probabilities to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether the crowd is more or less confident in a particular outcome than professional oddsmakers. These differences highlight how decentralized markets price uncertainty differently than centralized betting venues.
