Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader sentiment and real-time information flow. While sportsbooks may set lines based on broader analytics, prediction markets let participants price outcomes dynamically. This can lead to tighter spreads or more pronounced divergences, especially as match-specific news or player updates emerge.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the odds through buying and selling shares of possible outcomes. The current top outcome reflects the aggregate belief of participants about who is most likely to win, with prices adjusting based on volume and recent trades. This decentralized pricing captures crowd-sourced insights unique to this market.
