Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader conviction and capital allocation. This market aggregates the views of thousands of independent forecasters with real money at stake, which can surface insights that differ from traditional betting lines. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest or where informed traders see value.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability that outcome will occur, ranging from near zero to near certainty. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, the price adjusts in real time. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and your trade executes against the current price determined by the balance of supply and demand.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning outcome will be determined by the official result of the match. All positions will be settled based on which outcome occurred, and traders holding the correct shares will receive their payout. Until that time, prices may continue to shift as new information becomes available.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Player injury reports or withdrawal announcements would trigger sharp moves, as would recent performance data or head-to-head records becoming more widely known. Changes in player rankings, fitness updates, or court conditions could influence trader expectations. Media coverage and expert commentary may also sway sentiment. As the match date approaches, any official schedule changes or player statements could prompt repricing. Real-time match updates during play will drive the final price action.
