Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the De Lange vs Majdandzic tennis match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to the match outcome. You can monitor how the probability shifts throughout the trading period, track cumulative volume, and observe order-book depth to gauge market conviction. The interface shows historical price charts, allowing you to review how sentiment has evolved since the market opened. These tools help traders identify momentum, spot reversals, and time their positions around key catalysts leading up to the event.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probability than traditional sports betting sites, depending on which venue attracts sharper or more casual participants. Comparing the two can reveal mispricings and help you identify value. Keep in mind that sportsbooks adjust lines faster in response to sharp money, whereas prediction markets may lag slightly during low-volume periods.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on order flow and liquidity. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade continuously, and the current price reflects the collective probability estimate of all active participants. As more traders buy or sell a particular outcome, the price moves to rebalance supply and demand. The spread between bid and ask widens during low-volume periods and tightens when liquidity is abundant, directly affecting execution costs for market participants.

This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Until that time, prices will continue to fluctuate as new information emerges and traders adjust their positions. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final point, allowing the market to settle promptly and traders to collect winnings.

Several factors may shift prices before the match concludes. Recent form, head-to-head records, and injury updates for either player can trigger significant repricing. Court surface conditions, weather, and tournament momentum also influence trader sentiment. News about player fitness, coaching changes, or unexpected withdrawals could cause sharp moves. Additionally, live trading during the match itself—as points are won and lost—typically creates the most volatile price action. Early match momentum often attracts new traders, amplifying swings in either direction as the narrative unfolds.
