In the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup game between Italy and Spain, scheduled for September 23, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Italy vs. Spain match originally scheduled for September 23, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which may be influenced by factors like public bias or promotional offers. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their liabilities and ensure a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. Over time, prediction market prices tend to become more efficient as more information becomes available and more traders participate, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than traditional betting odds. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven entirely by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis of the match. This creates a dynamic pricing system that attempts to reflect the collective intelligence of the participants.
This market resolves around Sep 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Italy vs. Spain match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result announced by the governing football association. Any potential overtime or penalty shootouts will be included as part of the final score to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized and the outcome is officially recorded.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market leading up to Sep 23, 2026. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Italy or Spain would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced by the coaches could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any unexpected developments related to the overall tournament or the teams’ recent performance could contribute to price movements. Even public opinion and media coverage can sometimes play a role, though the market generally prioritizes objective information.
