Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect a “wisdom of the crowd” that can be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, whereas this market aggregates the views of informed traders. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison. Discrepancies between the two can highlight potential value opportunities for traders, though it’s important to consider the different incentives at play and the varying levels of information considered when forming those odds.
