Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. On Polymarket, traders stake real capital and face direct financial consequences, which can sharpen price discovery. Sportsbooks, by contrast, manage risk through margin and may adjust lines based on liability rather than pure probability. For this market, comparing the implied probability on Polymarket against major sportsbook lines reveals whether professional bettors and prediction market participants agree on the likely winner. Persistent gaps may signal mispricing or differing risk assessments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the cumulative positions of all participants; as traders buy or sell shares, the price adjusts mechanically to balance supply and demand. Polymarket's transparent order book allows anyone to see the depth and spread at any moment, ensuring fair price discovery. Fees on trades are minimal, encouraging active participation and tight bid-ask spreads for liquid events like this doubles match.

Traders should track official tournament updates and player statements for catalysts that could alter the implied probability.
