This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Irina-Camelia Begu and Katie Swan at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 30. The winner of set 2 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 in the Irina-Camelia Begu vs Katie Swan match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before it starts due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader belief and real money at stake. Prediction markets typically aggregate dispersed information efficiently, sometimes offering sharper odds than traditional sportsbooks. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities for informed bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders; higher prices indicate stronger consensus that outcome will occur. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices adjust to new information. As match details emerge or player form becomes clearer, the bid-ask spread may tighten or widen, affecting execution costs for new positions.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the Begu vs Swan match concludes and the Set 2 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set of the match. Resolution occurs shortly after the event concludes and the result is confirmed through official tournament records or reliable sports reporting. Early resolution may occur if the match is abandoned or the set is voided under tournament rules.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before resolution. Player injury reports or withdrawal announcements would trigger sharp repricing. Recent form, head-to-head records, and surface suitability influence trader positioning. Court conditions, weather, and match scheduling can affect player readiness. Momentum swings during Set 1 often carry into Set 2 pricing, as traders update expectations based on observed play. News about player fitness, coaching changes, or mental state may also prompt significant moves. Real-time match commentary and live score updates drive intraday volatility.
