This event covers the Ireland vs Sri Lanka Women's T20 World Cup cricket match scheduled for June 23, 2026. Bettors predict whether each team will exceed specific run thresholds during their innings in this international cricket competition.
Resolution is based on the actual total runs scored by each team during the match as officially recorded. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start time, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price, except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened but an official result is declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only, with no projections or adjustments applied.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and risk models. Sportsbooks set fixed lines designed to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one price outcomes through continuous trading among many participants. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing on niche events like team run totals, since traders with specialized cricket knowledge compete directly. However, sportsbooks may occasionally price certain outcomes more aggressively to attract bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for different run-total outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the balance between buyers and sellers at any given moment. As new information emerges—team lineups, weather conditions, injury reports—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift. This continuous price discovery process means the market adapts in real time to reflect the latest expectations about how many runs each team will score.
This market resolves around Jun 23, 2026, once the Ireland vs Sri Lanka match concludes and the final run totals are verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public sources reporting the official match statistics. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as traders react to live match developments, team performance, and other in-game events. Resolution is automatic once the data is confirmed, settling all open positions based on the actual runs scored.
Several catalysts could shift prices in this market before resolution. Team announcements—such as player injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—often trigger sharp moves. Weather forecasts and pitch reports can influence run-scoring expectations significantly in cricket. Early match momentum, such as a strong opening partnership or early wickets, typically drives intraday volatility. Additionally, historical head-to-head performance data and recent form updates may prompt traders to reassess their positions. Live match developments will be the primary driver of price movement as the event unfolds.
