These markets track whether Ireland or England will exceed specific run thresholds in their Women's T20 World Cup cricket match on June 16, 2026. Each team's performance is evaluated independently across three different scoring benchmarks to assess offensive output.
Resolution is based on the actual total runs scored by each team in the completed match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start time, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price, except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. For shortened matches with an official result declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded runs only, without projections or adjustments. The run thresholds evaluated are 109.5, 134.5, and 159.5 runs for each team.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and trader bases. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money incentives to forecast accurately. This market may price team runs differently than traditional bookmakers, especially as new information emerges or if one venue attracts more informed traders. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money sees value.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set the odds by placing bids and offers on each team's run total outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent trade and the depth of liquidity at that moment. As match day approaches and new information surfaces—such as team news or weather updates—traders adjust their positions, causing the price to move. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market continuously incorporates fresh signals.
This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the Ireland vs England match concludes and the final run totals are confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources covering the event, ensuring accuracy and fairness. Until that point, traders can buy and sell positions as odds fluctuate. Resolution happens automatically once the data is locked in, and payouts are distributed according to the final result.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before Jun 16, 2026. Key player injuries or unexpected absences will alter perceived team strength and expected run output. Weather forecasts, pitch reports, and toss outcomes can significantly impact batting conditions and scoring patterns. Recent form, head-to-head records, and team composition changes also influence trader sentiment. Breaking news about team strategy or lineup changes may trigger sharp repricing as informed traders react faster than casual bettors, creating opportunities for those monitoring the market closely.
