Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi operate independently from traditional sportsbooks, so their odds may diverge significantly. Prediction markets are driven by retail and professional traders betting real money on outcomes, while sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin. For Iraq vs Norway corners, prediction market prices reflect crowd consensus and can move faster than sportsbook lines. Comparing the two reveals whether public prediction traders are more or less bullish on high corner totals than oddsmakers, offering an alternative lens on expected match dynamics.
Team news, injuries to key players, and tactical lineup announcements can shift corner expectations significantly. Weather conditions on match day—wind, rain, or extreme heat—affect play style and set-piece frequency. Recent form, head-to-head history, and referee assignment may also influence predicted corner volume. As the match approaches, any official confirmation of starting lineups or late-breaking injury reports typically triggers repricing across Polymarket and Kalshi. Live trading activity during the match itself will reflect real-time corner accumulation and remaining-time dynamics.
