The market resolves based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the Iowa State vs Iowa college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If Iowa, Iowa State, or neither team (tie) wins the first half, the respective market will resolve to Yes. Only points scored during the first half count. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks can differ in their implied probabilities for this market. While sportsbooks may factor in broader public betting trends and house margins, prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, often showing tighter spreads and quicker reactions to new data like player injuries or weather updates that could affect the first half.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Injuries to star players, changes in starting lineups, weather conditions, and key momentum shifts during the early game can all dramatically move this market. Traders will also watch coaching decisions and any last-minute news that might affect how the first half unfolds, with each update potentially reshaping odds on Kalshi before the market settles.
