On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading dynamics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might see heavier betting from regions with stronger local support for a team, skewing its odds. Additionally, each venue’s unique order book and fee structure influences how traders place bets, leading to divergent probabilities even for the same underlying question.
Injuries, tactical changes, or early second-half goals can dramatically shift this market. Key moments like a red card or a decisive scoring burst may cause rapid repricing, especially if they alter the perceived path to a particular half result. Traders will also watch for crowd energy and referee decisions that could influence team performance in the final 45 minutes.
