Polymarket
This is a Polymarket on the driver who achieves pole position at the IndyCar Grand Prix of Monterey, scheduled for Sep 5, 2026. If the IndyCar Grand Prix of Monterey is canceled or rescheduled to a date 7 days after the original scheduled date, this market will resolve to "Other." This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially recognized by IndyCar as having set the fastest time during the qualifying session for the IndyCar Grand Prix of Monterey. The market will be settled based on IndyCar's official qualifying results, regardless of any subsequent penalties, disqualifications, or changes to the starting grid. For example, if a driver sets the fastest qualifying time but later receives a grid penalty or is moved down the starting order, the market will still resolve to "Yes" for that driver. The resolution source will be the official IndyCar website (indycar.com) and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.

This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Once the race organization publishes the final starting grid, the market will close and settle automatically based on that verified ranking.
Several key signals could shift probabilities in this market before Sep 12, 2026. Practice session lap times, particularly fast laps set by top drivers, often hint at qualifying potential and may boost or lower contract prices. Driver changes, such as new setups or strategy adjustments, can also impact expectations. Weather forecasts for the weekend could influence track conditions and strategy, affecting odds. Finally, real-time updates from the qualifying session itself — including early fast laps or unexpected setbacks — will drive rapid price movements as traders react to emerging data.
