These markets track the offensive performance of both teams in an upcoming football game, focusing on whether each team achieves specific yardage thresholds. The outcomes depend entirely on the official game statistics, reflecting how effectively each team moves the ball during the match.
All markets resolve based on the total offensive yards recorded by each team in the specified Pro Football game. For Kansas City markets, resolution occurs if the team achieves 250, 300, 350, 400, or 450+ total offensive yards. For Indianapolis markets, resolution occurs if the team achieves 250, 300, 350, 400, or 450+ total offensive yards. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, potentially leading to more efficient pricing. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge due to quicker line setting, prediction markets often converge towards a more accurate probability as more information becomes available and more traders participate.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different yardage totals. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that specific yardage range occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on news, analysis, and their own predictions about the game. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective intelligence of the market participants.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total yardage achieved by both the Indianapolis and Kansas City teams will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will then settle to the contract closest to the actual combined yardage total. Traders holding the winning contract will receive a payout based on the market price at the time of resolution, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Indianapolis or Kansas City teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly conditions that favor passing or running offenses, could also shift expectations. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or defensive adjustments could also move the market. Furthermore, as the game approaches, any shifts in public sentiment or expert analysis could influence trader behavior and lead to price fluctuations.
