This set of markets tracks whether both the Indianapolis and Kansas City teams score specific point thresholds in their scheduled football game. Each market corresponds to a different minimum point total that both teams must reach for the outcome to be confirmed. The resolution depends purely on the game's final score, including any overtime points.
These markets resolve based on whether both Indianapolis and Kansas City score at least the specified point thresholds in their Pro Football game originally scheduled for September 20, 2026. Each market has a distinct threshold (14, 21, 28, or 35 points), and the outcome is 'Yes' only if both teams meet or exceed that threshold. Points scored in overtime count toward the total. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the Governing League, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate aggregate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, and may be influenced by factors like public betting biases or promotional considerations. This market, however, is driven by individuals directly incentivized to make accurate predictions. While sportsbook odds may initially differ, they often converge with prediction market prices as the event approaches and more information becomes available. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks, especially when considering long-term accuracy.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders submit buy and sell orders, and the market price adjusts based on the best available bids and asks. Essentially, the price represents the probability that both teams will score at least 35 points, with higher prices indicating a greater expectation of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates as traders react to news, analysis, and their own assessments of the game's likely outcome, creating a dynamic reflection of collective intelligence. The market depth shows the volume of orders at different price levels, providing insight into potential price movements.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether both the Indianapolis and Kansas City teams each score at least 35 points during the game. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the market will settle to 100 if both teams meet the scoring threshold, or to 0 if either or both teams fail to reach that mark. The settlement will be clearly indicated on Kalshi once verified.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Indianapolis or Kansas City teams would be a major catalyst. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected, could also influence the market, as weather can affect scoring. Significant shifts in expert analysis or public perception of the teams' offensive capabilities could also drive price movements. Finally, any late-breaking news related to team strategy or coaching decisions could lead to adjustments in the market’s pricing as traders reassess the likelihood of both teams reaching the scoring threshold.
