Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their liability and generate profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates trader conviction directly through price discovery, which can sometimes lead to sharper or more efficient odds than traditional sportsbooks, especially for niche outcomes like exact scores. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue perceives edge relative to the other.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities for each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each possible scoreline has its own contract, and the price of that contract reflects the collective probability traders assign to it. As traders buy or sell a particular score outcome, the price adjusts dynamically. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that the odds you see always represent the latest consensus among active participants on the platform.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match between Independiente Medellín and CR Vasco da Gama concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regulation time. Whichever exact score contract matches the official final result will be marked correct, and traders holding that outcome will receive their payout. All other exact score predictions in this market will resolve to zero.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—typically shifts odds for specific scorelines, especially if a key player is unavailable. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage can all influence trader expectations about likely scores. Weather conditions or venue factors closer to match day may also prompt repricing. As the match approaches, any official announcements about team composition or tactical adjustments will likely trigger trading activity. Once the game begins, live score updates will cause rapid repricing of remaining possible outcomes.
