All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the IND Colts vs KC Chiefs Pro Football game scheduled for Sep 20, 2026. Each market has a different point differential threshold: markets 1-8 resolve to Yes if KC wins the second half by more than the specified margin (13.5 to 2.5 points), while markets 9-15 resolve to Yes if IND wins the second half by more than the specified margin (2.5 to 10.5 points). Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbook odds are typically set by experts, this market allows anyone to trade and express their opinion, potentially leading to different probabilities. It’s common to see initial discrepancies between the two, but as the event approaches, they often converge as new information becomes available. However, prediction markets can sometimes offer more nuanced probabilities and may react more quickly to breaking news or shifts in sentiment.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the second half. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as determined by supply and demand. Buyers are essentially betting that the spread will be *less* than the contract's value, while sellers are betting it will be *more*. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by the collective actions of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely outcome. The current price reflects the aggregated expectations of all traders on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread of the second half of the Colts-Chiefs game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The official result will be sourced from established sports data providers and will be used to settle all outstanding contracts on Kalshi. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective, verifiable data, ensuring a fair outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Colts or the Chiefs would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions, could also impact expectations. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could shift the market. Finally, even public sentiment and large bets placed on Kalshi could create momentum and drive price fluctuations as traders react to new information and adjust their positions.
