Description
This event is for the WBB game between Illinois Fighting Illini and Vanderbilt Commodores on March 23 at 7:00 PM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi resolves YES for either outcome (Illinois win OR Vanderbilt win), creating a logical contradiction where the market cannot resolve NO. Polymarket correctly resolves to a specific winner (Illinois Fighting Illini or Vanderbilt Commodores), making it the only resolvable market in this group.
Hero Tip:
Avoid betting on Kalshi — its resolution rules guarantee a YES outcome regardless of game result, making it fundamentally broken. Polymarket is the only market with valid binary logic. If you hold Kalshi YES, you will profit regardless of who wins; if you hold Kalshi NO, you will lose regardless of who wins.
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi: Outlier: Resolves YES if Illinois wins OR if Vanderbilt wins, creating a logical impossibility where NO can never occur. Key quote: 'If Illinois wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If Vanderbilt wins...then the market resolves to Yes.'
Polymarket: Aligned with standard binary sports resolution: Resolves to 'Illinois Fighting Illini' if Illinois wins, or 'Vanderbilt Commodores' if Vanderbilt wins, with clear handling of postponement and cancellation scenarios. Key quote: 'If the Illinois Fighting Illini win, the market will resolve to Illinois Fighting Illini. If the Vanderbilt Commodores win, the market will resolve to Vanderbilt Commodores.'
