Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the first goal scorer market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for which team will score first in the IK Sirius versus Mjallby AIF match. The interface displays the current price of each outcome, historical price movements, and trading volume as participants buy and sell shares. This dashboard lets you monitor how market sentiment shifts as match day approaches, giving you a live view of which outcome traders favor most at any given moment.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are priced by traders themselves through supply and demand. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many participants rather than a single operator's risk model. Over time, prediction markets have shown accuracy comparable to or better than traditional sportsbooks, especially when liquidity is high and the event is closely watched.

On Polymarket, traders set the price of each outcome by buying and selling shares, with the current market price reflecting the aggregate belief about which team will score first. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one outcome, the higher its price rises; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous auction mechanism ensures prices adjust instantly to new information, breaking news, or shifts in team form, injuries, or lineup changes leading up to the match.

This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team scores the opening goal in regulation time. Once the event is complete and the first goal is confirmed through official match reporting, this market will settle to reflect the actual result, and traders holding the winning outcome will receive their payout.

Key catalysts include team news such as injuries to star forwards or defensive changes, recent form and goal-scoring trends, head-to-head history, and lineup announcements closer to kick-off. Weather conditions and pitch quality can also influence early attacking play. Betting syndicates and sharp traders often move the market on new information before the general public reacts. Social media sentiment, expert predictions, and late-breaking tactical adjustments by either manager may trigger significant price swings in the final hours before the match begins.
