Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show odds that differ meaningfully from major sportsbooks, especially for less-common exact scores. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd's consensus differs from professional oddsmakers, though both should be considered when forming your own view.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism where buying shares pushes odds higher and selling pushes them lower. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome reflects the highest probability among all possible exact scores. As traders place orders, the price adjusts continuously, allowing you to enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices move in response to new information or shifts in trader sentiment.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the match concludes and the final scoreline is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each team at the end of regular time. No additional time or penalty shootout results factor into the resolution. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—typically drives significant shifts in this market. Betting market movement, expert predictions, and recent form can also influence trader sentiment. Weather conditions and venue factors may affect scoring patterns. As the match approaches, odds often tighten around the most likely scorelines while extreme scores remain long shots. Live updates during the game itself will not affect this market, since it resolves only on the final result once the match ends.
