Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, comparing the odds you see here to traditional sportsbook lines can reveal whether bettors and traders are pricing the second-half outcome differently. Such gaps sometimes highlight value or consensus shifts that haven't yet propagated across all venues.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on order flow and trader positions. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move continuously as new information emerges—team news, injury updates, or live match momentum—allowing traders to enter and exit positions at real-time rates. The spread between bid and ask reflects current liquidity and uncertainty, so tighter spreads typically signal higher confidence or deeper trading interest in the second-half outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the IFK Goteborg versus IF Brommapojkarna match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half only, independent of the first-half scoreline. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, after which traders can claim winnings based on their positions.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can shift odds significantly before kickoff. During the match itself, early second-half goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments will drive rapid repricing as traders update their expectations. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and recent form of both sides also influence positioning. As the second half unfolds, each goal or defensive lapse creates new information that reshapes the probability distribution, making this market highly responsive to live action.
