If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants who profit or lose based on accuracy, which can lead to sharper pricing on niche outcomes like exact scores. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines for the match outcome can reveal where the two communities disagree on likelihood.
On Polymarket, traders set prices for each exact score outcome through an automated market maker, where buying or selling shares directly moves the odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each scoreline contract trades independently, so a 2–1 result and a 3–1 result have separate prices reflecting distinct probabilities. As match day approaches and new information emerges—team lineups, weather, recent form—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift. The market remains open until the final whistle, giving participants continuous opportunity to refine their predictions based on evolving circumstances.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the IFK Goteborg versus AIK match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The exact scoreline—the number of goals each team scores—determines which outcome wins. All other exact score predictions are marked incorrect. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the final whistle, allowing traders to see results and settle positions promptly.
Key catalysts for this market include team lineup announcements, injury updates to star players, recent head-to-head form, and broader league standings pressure. Weather conditions on match day can influence scoring patterns, as can tactical adjustments revealed in pre-match press conferences. Live match momentum—early goals, red cards, or substitutions—will drive sharp repricing during the game itself. Traders also monitor betting syndicates and sharp action flowing into sportsbooks, as large coordinated positions sometimes signal informed conviction about likely scorelines.
