This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between South Africa and Bangladesh scheduled for 2026-06-28 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to South Africa will be considered correct if South Africa is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if Bangladesh is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets like this one aggregate decentralized trader beliefs through continuous pricing. Traders in this market are financially motivated to identify mispricings relative to sportsbook lines, so prediction market odds can sometimes lead or lag bookmaker odds depending on information flow and liquidity. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs most sharply.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades between 0 and 1 based on the cumulative trades flowing through the liquidity pool. As more capital enters one side, the price for that outcome rises and the opposing outcome falls, creating a continuous price discovery mechanism. This design incentivizes traders to stake capital on outcomes they believe are underpriced, naturally aligning market prices with genuine probability estimates over time.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the toss result from the South Africa vs Bangladesh match is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official toss call announced at the match venue and reported by the ICC and major sports media. Resolution occurs after the event concludes and the result is no longer subject to dispute, ensuring all traders have access to the same authoritative information.
Market prices can shift based on team news, weather forecasts, pitch reports, and historical toss patterns for both sides. Injury announcements or last-minute lineup changes may influence trader expectations about which captain will prioritize batting or bowling, indirectly affecting toss strategy perception. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and betting syndicate activity can also trigger repricing. As match day draws closer and more information crystallizes, volatility typically increases, especially in the final hours before the toss occurs.
