This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Pakistan and Bangladesh scheduled for 2026-06-20 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Pakistan will be considered correct if Pakistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if Bangladesh is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, incorporating their own margins. Prediction markets like this one reflect aggregated trader beliefs, with prices emerging from real-money transactions. Sportsbooks may move odds faster in response to sharp action, while prediction markets can lag if liquidity is thin. Both can offer value, but prediction markets sometimes capture information that traditional oddsmakers miss, especially when retail traders have strong conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs most.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) and order book mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of liquidity and cumulative trading activity; as more capital flows into one side, that outcome's price rises and the other falls. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by holding shares until resolution. The platform displays the current implied probability for each toss outcome, updated in real time as orders execute. Slippage increases with larger trades, incentivizing smaller, more frequent participation.
This market resolves around Jun 27, 2026, once the toss outcome is confirmed and verifiable from credible public reporting of the match. The result is determined by the official coin toss conducted before play begins, with the winning side recorded by match officials and broadcasters. Resolution occurs shortly after the toss is called and announced, typically within minutes of the match start. Polymarket will verify the outcome against reliable sports news sources and official match records before settling all positions. Early resolution is possible if the toss is called and broadcast before the scheduled match time.
Several factors can shift this market before resolution. Team news—injuries to key players or lineup changes—may alter perceived luck or momentum, influencing trader sentiment about the toss. Weather forecasts and pitch conditions can prompt tactical discussions that indirectly affect toss-related speculation. Social media buzz, expert commentary, and pre-match analysis often sway retail traders. Betting syndicates or sharp money entering the market can trigger rapid repricing. Late-breaking information about coin bias or historical toss patterns may also move odds. As the match start time approaches, liquidity typically increases, allowing larger trades to move prices more easily. Any official statement from the ICC or teams could also influence trader positioning.
