This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between India and Netherlands scheduled for 2026-06-17 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Netherlands will be considered correct if Netherlands is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates decentralized trader conviction about the toss result, which may differ from traditional bookmaker pricing. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional oddsmakers or the broader prediction market crowd is more bullish on a particular outcome. Both sources offer useful signals, though they operate under distinct market mechanics and regulatory frameworks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative bids and asks from all participants, with the spread between buy and sell prices tightening as liquidity increases. Traders profit by correctly predicting the toss result and selling their shares at a higher price than they paid. The continuous pricing model means odds update in real time as new trades execute, allowing you to enter or exit positions at any moment before the market resolves.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the ICC Women's T20 World Cup match between India and Netherlands is played and the toss result is verified. The outcome is determined by the official coin toss conducted before play begins, with confirmation coming from credible public sources covering the event. Resolution occurs shortly after the match commences and the toss is broadcast or officially announced. Until that point, this market remains open for trading, allowing participants to adjust positions based on pre-match news, team lineups, or other relevant information.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Weather conditions at the venue may influence trader expectations if one team has a historical advantage in particular conditions. Team news, injury updates, or lineup announcements could alter perceived momentum or confidence in either side. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and pre-match analysis from cricket analysts may sway the crowd's conviction. Late-breaking logistical changes, venue updates, or official statements from the ICC could also trigger repricing. As match day approaches and more information becomes public, expect increased trading activity and potential volatility in the odds.
