This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between England and Ireland scheduled for 2026-06-16 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to England will be considered correct if England is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Ireland will be considered correct if Ireland is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders seeking to profit on their forecasts. Prediction markets typically reflect genuine belief about outcomes without the built-in margin, making them sometimes more efficient. However, sportsbooks may have sharper oddsmakers or faster reaction times to breaking news. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether traders or bookmakers are more bullish on a particular toss outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares that represent each possible toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the collective confidence of participants: higher prices indicate stronger belief in that outcome, lower prices suggest skepticism. Liquidity and trading volume influence how easily prices move; thin markets may see larger swings on small trades, while deeper order books absorb volume more smoothly. You can enter limit or market orders to trade your view, and prices update in real time as the match approaches and new information emerges.
This market resolves around Jun 23, 2026, once the toss outcome is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources covering the match. The resolution hinges on which team wins the coin toss at the start of play. Until that moment, prices may fluctuate based on team composition updates, weather forecasts, or other pre-match developments that traders believe could influence the toss result. After the toss is called and officially recorded, the market settles to reflect the actual winner.
Several factors can shift prices before resolution. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or captain decisions—may alter trader expectations if they correlate with toss luck or strategy. Weather updates, pitch conditions, or venue-specific factors could influence sentiment. Betting patterns and volume spikes often signal informed traders entering positions, prompting price moves. Social media discussion or expert commentary about either team's recent toss record may sway perception. As match day approaches and kickoff nears, late-arriving information or shifts in broader market sentiment can drive final repricing before the toss is called.
