This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Australia and West Indies scheduled for 2026-06-30 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Australia will be considered correct if Australia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to West Indies will be considered correct if West Indies is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money incentives to forecast accurately. This market reflects what informed participants actually believe will happen, rather than what a bookmaker needs to offer to attract balanced action. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than traditional sportsbook pricing on major sporting events.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative conviction of all participants; as more traders buy a particular result, its implied probability rises, and vice versa. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures liquidity and allows you to enter or exit positions at transparent, market-determined rates throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the toss outcome from the Australia vs West Indies match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will confirm which team won the coin flip, settling all positions based on that verified result. Until that point, the market remains open for trading, and odds may shift as match conditions, team news, or other factors influence trader expectations.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before it resolves. Team roster changes, injury announcements, or weather forecasts affecting pitch conditions may influence trader views on which captain might choose to bat or bowl first. Media commentary, expert analysis, and historical head-to-head toss patterns could also sway sentiment. As the match date draws closer and more information becomes public, watch for late-breaking news that traders incorporate into their pricing decisions.
