This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Australia and India scheduled for 2026-06-28 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Australia will be considered correct if Australia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader consensus and real-money stakes. Sportsbooks may adjust faster for liability reasons, whereas this market reflects genuine belief about the toss outcome. Comparing the two can reveal where sharp bettors see value, though sportsbook odds remain the primary reference for mainstream sports betting.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that balances supply and demand for each toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome (typically ranging from $0 to $1) reflects the collective probability assigned by all active traders. As new information emerges—team form, injury updates, or historical toss patterns—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift. Liquidity and order flow determine how quickly prices respond to news, with deeper liquidity enabling larger trades with minimal slippage.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the toss outcome is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources covering the ICC Women's T20 World Cup match. The resolution hinges on the official toss result announced by match officials at the ground. Traders holding positions on the winning outcome receive their payout, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. Early resolution is possible if the match is cancelled or postponed under circumstances that affect toss validity.
Key catalysts include team announcements regarding playing XI composition, weather forecasts on match day, and historical toss data favoring either captain's decision-making. Injury updates to key players may subtly shift trader confidence in each team's momentum, indirectly influencing toss-related sentiment. Last-minute venue or scheduling changes could also trigger repricing. Social media activity, expert commentary, and betting patterns on related markets (like match winner) may create spillover effects. As match day approaches, real-time conditions—pitch reports and coin condition—often drive final price adjustments.
