This market refers to the cricket match between Australia and India scheduled for June 28 2026 in ICC T20 World Cup, Women. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks depending on which side attracts more capital and conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money disagrees with bookmaker consensus, though both sources provide valuable signals for assessing match likelihood.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative trading activity and capital deployed toward that result. As more traders back one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls, creating a continuous equilibrium. This mechanism ensures that prices adjust rapidly to new information, news, or shifting expectations about the match, making the market an efficient aggregator of collective forecasts.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final result of the fixture—whether Australia or India wins. Resolution occurs after the event is officially confirmed, ensuring accuracy and preventing disputes. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The timing allows for confirmation of the official result before settlement is finalized.
Key catalysts include team announcements regarding player injuries, lineup changes, or roster updates that affect competitive balance. Weather forecasts closer to match day can shift expectations, particularly in T20 cricket where conditions heavily influence strategy and scoring. Recent form, head-to-head records, and momentum from earlier tournament matches will influence trader positioning. Media coverage, expert commentary, and betting syndicate activity may also trigger repricing. Any official statements from the ICC or venue changes would represent material information that could reshape market odds significantly.
