In the upcoming Besta deild game between IA Akranes and KR Reykjavik, scheduled for September 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the IA Akranes vs. KR Reykjavik match originally scheduled for September 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where participants buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the changing sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market isn’t influenced by a central bookmaker setting odds; instead, it’s a decentralized process driven by supply and demand. This dynamic pricing allows for a potentially more efficient and accurate assessment of the event's outcome.
