Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes presenting more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. It’s common to see differences in implied probabilities between this market and sportsbook offerings, reflecting varying levels of information and market participants.
