This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 16 match between Hubert Hurkacz and Jan-Lennard Struff on July 5. The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 of the match.
The market resolves to Yes if either Hubert Hurkacz or Jan-Lennard Struff wins set 3 in their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 16 match. If the match does not occur before it starts due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, especially as match conditions change. Comparing the two can reveal where professional bettors and retail traders disagree on Set 3's likely winner, offering insight into consensus versus contrarian views.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief about that player's probability of winning Set 3, ranging from near zero to near 100. As traders place bids and asks, the market price adjusts in real time. This continuous pricing model ensures that the odds always represent the latest information available to active participants.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once Set 3 of the Hurkacz vs Struff match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the third set during the actual match. No partial or conditional scenarios apply; the market settles based on the straightforward result of that set alone. Early resolution is possible if the match is abandoned or the set is not played.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Player injury reports or withdrawal announcements would trigger sharp moves, as would recent form updates or head-to-head performance data. Court conditions, surface type, and weather forecasts on match day influence Set 3 dynamics and trader positioning. Real-time match flow—such as one player winning Sets 1 and 2—creates strong momentum signals that reshape probabilities. Breaking news about either player's fitness or mental state can also drive significant repricing in this market.
