This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 16 match between Hubert Hurkacz and Jan-Lennard Struff on July 5. The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 of the match.
The market resolves to Yes if either Hubert Hurkacz or Jan-Lennard Struff wins set 2 in their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 16 match. If the match does not occur before it starts due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market's odds may move faster or slower than traditional sportsbooks depending on which venue reacts first to player news, injury reports, or betting patterns. Comparing the two can reveal whether one side is undervalued relative to the other's assessment.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective expectation of who will win Set 2, with the sum of both outcomes equaling $1.00. As new information surfaces—such as player form, court conditions, or head-to-head tendencies—traders adjust their positions, pushing prices up or down to reflect shifting probabilities.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the Hurkacz vs Struff match is completed and the Set 2 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set during their match. Early resolution is possible if the match concludes before the scheduled end date, and the market will settle as soon as the set winner is confirmed through official tournament reporting or reliable sports data.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent match results, surface preference data, and head-to-head records may influence trader positioning as the event approaches. Court conditions, weather, and seeding or draw information could also matter. Additionally, if one player advances or exits an earlier round, or if notable betting syndicates take large positions, the market may react with significant volume and price movement.
