Two prediction markets on a BIG3 basketball game between the Houston Rig Hands and Detroit Amps scheduled for July 19, 2026. One market resolves Yes if Detroit wins; the other resolves Yes if Houston wins.
These markets resolve based on the outcome of the Houston Rig Hands vs Detroit Amps BIG3 basketball game originally scheduled for July 19, 2026. If the game is postponed or delayed, the markets remain open and will close after the rescheduled game concludes, provided the rescheduled date falls within two weeks of the original date. Should the game be cancelled entirely or rescheduled beyond two weeks from the original date, the markets will resolve to a fair price for each team in accordance with standard resolution procedures.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital. This market aggregates trader conviction directly, which can reveal sharper probability estimates than traditional sportsbooks, especially when public opinion diverges from informed traders. Comparing the two can highlight where consensus is strongest or where contrarian value may exist.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks, and prices adjust as shares trade hands. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the marginal cost of buying or selling one more share, updated in real time as new orders arrive. Higher prices indicate stronger belief in that outcome; lower prices suggest skepticism. Spreads between bid and ask tighten as volume increases, rewarding active traders with better execution.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. At that point, shares tied to the winning outcome will be worth their full value, and all other shares expire worthless. The resolution hinges on the final, official result of the matchup as documented by authoritative sports sources. Traders holding winning positions will see their profits credited automatically.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury reports, recent performance trends, and any public statements from coaches or players that shift expectations. Weather conditions, venue changes, or scheduling adjustments can also influence trader positioning. Media coverage and expert analysis often trigger repricing as new information reaches the market. Close to the event date, late-breaking news—such as lineup confirmations or tactical shifts—typically drives the sharpest price movements as traders lock in final positions.
