Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Market design and user base differences drive pricing gaps. Polymarket tends to attract more sophisticated traders focused on fine-grained probability assessments, while Kalshi may see broader retail participation that amplifies sentiment swings. These distinct participant dynamics create divergent price discovery paths, especially when recent match outcomes or player injuries shift expectations abruptly.
