This event group covers two MLB prediction markets for the July 6, 6:45 PM ET game between the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals: one on the game winner and one on whether a run will be scored in the first inning. Both markets are offered across Polymarket and Predict platforms with identical resolution logic.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, scheduled for July 6 at 6:45PM ET: This market will resolve to "Houston Astros" if the Houston Astros win the game. This market will resolve to "Washington Nationals" if the Washington Nationals win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Polymarket and Predict may quote different odds on the same matchup for several reasons. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Liquidity varies by platform, so smaller order flow on one venue can push prices away from the true consensus. User demographics, fee structures, and settlement rules also differ, leading traders to weight information or risk differently. Arbitrage opportunities sometimes emerge when one platform lags in incorporating news, though transaction costs and withdrawal delays typically prevent perfect convergence. Monitoring both venues helps you spot temporary mispricings and understand which platform's crowd is leading price discovery.
Several catalysts can shift odds significantly before the game begins. Roster news—starting pitcher changes, late-inning bullpen injuries, or unexpected lineup adjustments—often triggers sharp moves. Weather forecasts, travel delays, or off-field controversies can also sway trader sentiment. Once play starts, live game action drives continuous repricing: early runs, defensive errors, or momentum swings will cause rapid position adjustments. Monitor team news feeds, official roster announcements, and real-time game updates to anticipate how this market may react. Traders who spot these signals early often capture the largest gains.
