Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader positioning rather than bookmaker risk management. Sportsbooks adjust odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective belief of participants trading freely. This market can move faster than sportsbooks during breaking news or late-game developments, and the implied probabilities may reflect sharper or more contrarian views depending on trader composition and liquidity depth.

On Predict, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the current consensus probability, and you can execute trades at the best available bid or ask. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices adjust dynamically to balance supply and demand, ensuring the market continuously reprices based on the latest sentiment and available evidence.

This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the game concludes and the final result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result recorded by Major League Baseball and confirmed through established sports reporting. No further conditions or contingencies apply—the market simply reflects which team wins the matchup on the day of play.

Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements, recent team performance trends, and starting pitcher matchups. Weather conditions at game time, home-field advantage dynamics, and historical head-to-head records can also influence trader positioning. Breaking news about player availability, trades, or coaching decisions often triggers sharp repricing. Additionally, betting syndicate activity or large block trades can shift implied probabilities, so monitoring order-book activity and social sentiment around both teams helps identify potential market moves before the first pitch.
