Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a different kind of wisdom than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, incorporating a margin for themselves. This market, however, is driven by individuals betting with their own capital, creating a more direct expression of belief about the outcome. While sportsbooks use statistical models and expert analysis, prediction markets can incorporate a wider range of information, including insider knowledge and real-time sentiment. As a result, discrepancies can arise, and sometimes prediction markets prove more accurate than traditional odds.
