Prediction market odds on Polymarket often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader-driven pricing and unique betting mechanics. While sportsbooks set their odds based on analytical models and risk management, this market reflects aggregated trader beliefs, which can produce more volatile or divergent prices. Traders may react faster to new data, causing shifts not yet reflected in sportsbook lines. Monitoring both can provide insight into crowd-sourced expectations versus institutional forecasts.
