This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Xianyou Gaming and WanZhen Esports Club in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 28 at 8:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Xianyou Gaming" if Xianyou Gaming win the match against WanZhen Esports Club. This market will resolve to "WanZhen Esports Club" if WanZhen Esports Club win the match against Xianyou Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader conviction—there is no house edge or built-in margin. This can result in sharper, more efficient pricing on prediction markets, particularly for niche esports events where sportsbook liquidity is thin. Comparing the two reveals whether the broader betting public and professional traders agree on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the probability traders assign to that result; as more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the implied probability increases. Liquidity pools determine how much the price moves with each trade, so deeper pools allow larger orders with less slippage. Real-time price discovery ensures this market stays responsive to new information about team form, roster changes, and other factors affecting the matchup.
This market resolves around Jun 28, 2026, once the Honor of Kings match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-five series under official KPL Growth League rules. Resolution occurs after the final game is played and the winner is confirmed through league records or official announcements. Traders should monitor the match schedule and any official league communications to anticipate the exact resolution timing.
Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions, recent tournament results and win streaks, team coaching changes, and public statements from players or analysts about preparation and strategy. Performance in preceding group-stage matches will shift trader confidence significantly. Injury reports or unexpected lineup adjustments days before the match can trigger sharp repricing. Social media sentiment, community predictions, and esports media coverage may also influence trader behavior. Any official league communications about rule changes or format adjustments could impact perceived matchup dynamics.
