Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Xianyou Gaming and Mighty Tiger Gaming in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 12 at 3:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Xianyou Gaming" if Xianyou Gaming win the match against Mighty Tiger Gaming. This market will resolve to "Mighty Tiger Gaming" if Mighty Tiger Gaming win the match against Xianyou Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. On Polymarket, traders stake real capital on outcomes, creating prices driven by collective belief rather than bookmaker margins. Sportsbooks, by contrast, adjust lines to balance action and lock in profit. For esports matches like this one, prediction markets can sometimes price outcomes more efficiently when the trader pool includes dedicated fans and analysts. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional oddsmaking.

This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the final series score and which team advances or wins. Until that point, traders can buy and sell positions to lock in gains or cut losses. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the event's completion, after which no further trading is permitted and payouts are distributed to winning positions.

Several catalysts could shift trader sentiment before the match. Team roster announcements, player substitutions, or unexpected roster changes often trigger sharp price moves. Recent tournament results and head-to-head records between the squads may prompt reassessment of win probabilities. Analyst commentary and community discussion on esports forums can also influence perception. Closer to the event, any technical issues, delays, or format changes announced by the league could cause volatility. Real-time match performance—early game leads or momentum swings—will drive the most dramatic repricing once play begins.
