This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Xianyou Gaming and Koala Game in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 5 at 3:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Xianyou Gaming" if Xianyou Gaming win the match against Koala Game. This market will resolve to "Koala Game" if Koala Game win the match against Xianyou Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive prices directly from trader behavior and information flow. For esports events like this one, prediction markets may reflect real-time sentiment from engaged communities, whereas sportsbooks rely on oddsmakers' models. Both can offer valuable signals, but prediction markets sometimes capture emerging information faster, particularly in niche competitions where traditional bookmakers have limited exposure.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where the cost of buying a share reflects the current probability assigned by the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As participants buy and sell shares tied to different outcomes, the price adjusts in real time to balance supply and demand. The top outcome currently reflects strong conviction among active traders, and prices shift continuously as new information emerges or sentiment changes leading up to the match.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the actual match performance and final standings in the KPL Growth League Group Stage competition. Once the event concludes and results are officially published, this market will settle according to the verified outcome, allowing traders to collect winnings on correct predictions.
Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Team roster changes, player injuries, or lineup announcements may alter perceived strength. Recent match results and performance trends in the KPL Growth League will influence trader confidence. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and community discussion can drive rapid repricing. Betting volume spikes often precede major tournaments or group stage matches, reflecting increased attention. Any official statements about format changes or scheduling adjustments could also trigger market movement as traders reassess probabilities.
