Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between WST and eStar Pro in the King Pro League Stage 2 Group B, initially scheduled for July 26 at 2:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "WST" if WST win the match against eStar Pro. This market will resolve to "eStar Pro" if eStar Pro win the match against WST. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. On Polymarket, traders stake real capital on outcomes, creating prices that aggregate dispersed information and can sometimes lead sportsbooks. However, sportsbooks employ professional oddsmakers and adjust lines to manage liability, which can result in tighter margins. For this market, comparing the current prediction market price to major sportsbook lines reveals whether traders are pricing the outcome more optimistically or conservatively than professional bookmakers.

This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on the final result of the best-of-five series, determined by which team wins the required number of games. Until that point, traders can adjust positions based on team performance, roster changes, or other developments that might influence the matchup. Early resolution is possible if circumstances prevent the event from occurring as scheduled.

Several factors could shift prices before the King Pro League Stage 2 Group B match concludes. Player roster announcements, injuries, or substitutions affecting either team would likely trigger repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and patch updates to the game itself can alter competitive balance. Media coverage and analyst commentary may also influence trader sentiment. Additionally, performance in earlier group matches or playoff implications could change how traders assess each team's motivation and preparation, causing the odds to swing in either direction.
