Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Team WE and WST in the King Pro League Stage 2 Group B, initially scheduled for July 15 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Team WE" if Team WE win the match against WST. This market will resolve to "WST" if WST win the match against Team WE. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes using different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, while prediction markets derive prices from live trader activity and collective belief. This market reflects what traders on Polymarket believe will happen, which often diverges from sportsbook lines because prediction markets reward accuracy over volume. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional oddsmakers, though each serves distinct purposes for different audiences seeking exposure to esports outcomes.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of shares held in the pool; as traders accumulate positions favoring one outcome, the price shifts to rebalance. Shares are fractional and range from 0 to 1, with prices converging toward 0 or 1 as confidence crystallizes. This continuous pricing model ensures liquidity and allows traders to enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes.

This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final series result, confirmed through official King Pro League records and broadcast data. Traders holding positions aligned with the verified outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match ending, allowing the platform to settle all positions fairly and transparently.

Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins. Roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute lineup announcements for either team would likely trigger repricing as traders reassess competitive balance. Recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and meta shifts in the game itself influence expectations around series length and winner probability. Media coverage, expert analysis, and community sentiment on social platforms can also drive trading activity. As Jul 15, 2026 approaches, any official statements from teams or the league regarding conditions or format changes would prompt immediate market reaction.
